About This Spot
Stepping into Carniceria Los Pinos feels like entering a vibrant corner of Latin America nestled in the heart of Atlanta. The space hums with the quiet energy of a well-loved neighborhood spot where locals come not just for groceries, but for a sense of connection. The blend of a bustling butcher counter, stocked shelves of familiar ingredients, and a small, welcoming eatery invites you to slow down and savor more than just a meal.
The pace here is unhurried, marked by friendly exchanges and the comforting rhythm of daily routine. It’s the kind of place where the warmth comes as much from the people as from the food—whether it’s a casual lunchtime taco shared over conversation or a quick shopping trip for flavors you might have missed at larger supermarkets. There’s an undeniable sense of care that translates from behind the counter to the plates served at their modest restaurant space tucked inside.
Exploring Carniceria Los Pinos is less about ticking off ingredients and more about immersing yourself in a cultural tapestry. The aromas coax you toward a seat where the menu offers a taste of Mexico, Venezuela, and El Salvador—each bite echoing the rich culinary traditions carried lovingly across borders. Whether it’s the tender, thoughtfully prepared meats or hand-crafted tortillas with that perfect chewy-crisp balance, the experience feels authentic without pretense.
This is a place where ingredients and dishes tell stories: of family recipes, of migration, and of a community that gathers around food to celebrate shared heritage. The cheerful buzz, the generous portions, and the diverse offerings draw a steady stream of neighbors who find in Carniceria Los Pinos a little refuge from the ordinary—a spot that honors roots while nurturing new friendships.

Great little grocery! The best place in Sandy Springs to get tacos! Portions are always generous and always delicious. You won't be disappointed! They recently added pizza and it's also chef's kiss!

Good variety of Latin groceries, they had a good stock of Venezuelan Cheeses this time. They also have a small restaurant inside the store that offers food from Mexico, Venezuela and El Salvador.

The street tacos at this taqueria are phenomenal. It's totally unassuming. I tried the steak and the carnitas. Both are good flavors... but the real thing is how they prepare the tortilla shells. The chewy, crispy thing going on made the entire thing. Really good. Can't wait for everyone to start flocking here so I have to find somewhere new. :/
